How to Use Build-a-Filter

Access the Buildafilter (BAF) application via the Home page, the products menu drop-down in the main navigation on the Home page, or by clicking on one of the various BAF callouts placed throughout the site.

Upon landing on the BAF application page you are presented with a listing of Applications and Filter Types.

Clicking on an Application dynamically updates the list of Filter Types. Selecting a Filter Type causes the corresponding form to display below. In the event that an Application is associated with Instruments, the Instruments listing will display upon click of the Application.

Alternatively, you can select a Filter Type first, which will cause the Application selection to be set to “Other”.

At any point, you can change the Application or Filter type selection, which causes the form area to reset and display the respective form, when applicable.

After selecting a form follow the described process below to submit one or more requests:

1. Complete all fields in the form area (or as many fields as you can), and then click the ‘Continue’ button.

2. After clicking ‘Continue,’ you are directed to the Build-a-Filter Request Review screen. From the Review screen, you can review the form data for the request, click to edit or delete the request from the submission queue, or update the quantity being requested. Then click ‘Add New Entry’ or ‘Submit All Requests.’
     a. Clicking ‘Add New Entry’ directs you back to the BAF application page, where you can choose and complete another form. This process can continue until you completed all desired requests.
     b. Once you have added all the requests, you click ‘Submit All Requests,’ which submits the requests as a group and initiates the administrator approval workflow. If you are not logged in Your Account upon clicking the ‘Submit All Requests’ button, you are prompted to do so, or you have to register for the first time. If you need to register, you are presented with the Quick Registration form (see page How to Create an Account for more information). Following sign-in or registration, the process continues.
     c. After you have submitted your requests, you are directed to the Build-a-Filter Requests page within the Your Account section of the site.

Build-a-Filter Requests page within the Your Account section:

From the Build-a-Filter Requests screen of the Your Account section of the site, you can view a list of all submitted Build-a-Filter requests. For each request, you have the ability to view the details of the submission, as well as clone a previous request to create a new one. In addition, once a request has been responded to and made available for purchase by a site administrator, you will be able to add items to their cart from this screen.

You have 60 days to purchase the product before the quote expires.
