Shaping filters of any spectral profile can be achieved in the UV, Visible, and NIR regions.
Applications:
-
flattening the spectral response of light sources that include several lamps of varying intensities
-
flattening the spectral response of a detector
-
emulating the absorption spectrum of a solution to use as a calibration standard
-
correcting spectral output of a lamp to match the solar irradiance (solar simulator)
-
Photopic Response Filters simulate the spectral sensitivity of human visual perception. These refractory oxide photopic eye response filters pass the wavelength of light in proportion to the eyes' response. The transmission of these filters, when combined with a broadband source and detector, is very similar to the spectral response of the human eye. Click here for Omega's standard photopic filters
